Attend as a Staff Member

Information relevant to staff members will be published here on an ongoing basis.

The staff application is still open. Remaining positions are filled on a first come, first served basis. You apply via the application form in Scoutnet. Link to the form.

Vaccination

All participants at Jamboree26 are recommended to be vaccinated at least against measles and TBE. This recommendation is issued by the jamboree organisation in consultation with Region Skåne.

TBE stands for Tick‑Borne Encephalitis, a tick‑borne inflammation of the brain. While vaccination against measles is included in the standard childhood vaccination programme, vaccination against TBE usually needs to be arranged separately. It is important to start in good time, as two doses given one month apart are required to achieve basic protection against TBE.

Travel to Jamboree26

Scout groups and staff members are responsible for planning their own travel to and from Jamboree26. We strongly encourage everyone to travel as climate‑friendly as possible. This means using public transport such as local transit and trains, or carpooling. If hiring a bus is the best option for you, we encourage you to coordinate with nearby scout groups so that you can share a bus if you are unable to fill one on your own. For those travelling to Jamboree26 by public transport, the nearest Skånetrafiken stop is Norra Åsum Wendesgymnasiet.

Don’t forget to book your journey!

Two Ways to Be a Staff Member at Jamboree26

As a camp staff member, you help support the camp through a variety of tasks. Staff members live in a dedicated Staff Village and eat in the staff dining hall, located in a separate part of the camp area. The camp period for camp staff members is 22 July – 3 August, and the camp fee is 0 SEK. You will have the opportunity to request which function you would like to work within, and you will be assigned to a work patrol with great colleagues to help create jamboree magic together. As a camp staff member, you may also assist during the pre‑camp or post‑camp periods.

As a leader staff member, you are both a leader and a staff member at the camp. You live and eat together with your scout group during the jamboree, and your camp period is the same as for scout groups, 25 July – 1 August. On site, you work as a camp staff member within one of the camp’s various functions, but your schedule is adapted to fit your group’s meal times. The camp fee for leader staff members is 1,500 SEK.

Important!
Leader staff members must register through their scout group and indicate that they wish to attend as a leader staff member in their group registration. They must not apply through the regular staff application.

To serve as a staff member, you must be at least 18 years old on the day you arrive at the camp and be able to present a valid certificate from Trygga Möten as well as an extract from the criminal records register.

Digital information meetings

Ahead of Jamboree26, we have planned the following digital information meetings. Please save the dates in your calendar — links and further details will be published on the website closer to each meeting.
The meetings will take place from 8:00–9:00 pm (subject to change, should adjustments be necessary).

Rover programme

For rover scouts attending Jamboree26 as staff members or leaders, there will also be a dedicated rover programme. The rover programme is designed so that you can take part when you are off duty from your staff role.
To serve as a staff member, you must be at least 18 years old on the day you arrive at the camp.

Funktionärsbarn

If you attend as a staff member, you may bring children with you if you wish. Children from 0 to 17 years of age may accompany staff members. Our primary preference is that staff members’ children who are of participant age (10–17 years) are registered and take part in the camp as participants with a scout group or another group.
If this is not possible, staff members’ children may accompany the staff member under the responsibility of their guardian. They may still take part in the pre‑camp and post‑camp periods even if they participate with a scout group or another group during the main camp week. Children registered as staff members’ children do not take part in the camp programme.

All children who have turned 2 years old by the start of the camp, as well as all children who will participate in lägis (the children’s camp programme), must be registered in the registration system and pay a fee of 500 SEK, which will be invoiced to the child’s guardian. Children aged 0–2 years participate free of charge and do not need to be registered, unless they are taking part in lägis, in which case they must be registered and the fee applies.
