Welcome to Jamboree26 in Sweden

In the summer of 2026, the Guides and Scouts of Sweden welcome scout groups from all over the world to join us at the Swedish national jamboree, Jamboree26.

Together we will create a world of friendship and adventure. A sustainable world where thousands of scouts will meet and together fulfil our dreams and ambitions.

Välkomna!

What is a Swedish jamboree?

A Swedish National jamboree gathers approximately 10 - 15 000 participants and is held every fourth year. The Swedish jamborees are large, lively and colorful events, but still with the feeling of being close to nature. Simply scouting at it's best.

Preliminary Registration – get the Jamboree Bulletins

If you are preparing for your group to go to the Swedish National Jamboree 2026, make sure to submit the preliminary group registration form. This is a simple, non-binding registration that helps us prepare for your needs in the best possible way and ensures you get the Jamboree Bulletins regularly.

Short facts about Jamboree26

When: July 25 – August 1, 2026

Where: Norra Åsum, just outside the city Kristianstad in Skåne, the most southern part of Sweden. The camp site is close to where the World Scout Jamboree was held in 2011 and offer a lovely variety of open fields, forest and groves.

How to get there: As a part of our sustainability focus we highly recommend everyone who can to come by train. There are several daily direct trains from both Copenhagen and Stockholm to Kristianstad C and from there a bus line takes you all the way to the camp site. The closest international airport is in Copenhagen.

Participants and staff

Participants: All ages are welcome to join but the program activities are aimed for participants in the age groups 10-11, 12-14 and 15-17 years old. Those 18 years or older can participate either as leaders for a group of scouts or as camp staff (IST). See below.

Camp staff: For those 18 years and older we offer a wide range of volunteer camp staff tasks. As camp staff you will be part of a patrol and assigned to one or many different tasks during the week.

Host group: All international scout groups will be paired with a Swedish host scout group well in advance so that you can make contact and prepare your practical arrangements for the camp. You and your host group will camp together and hopefully they can support you with some of the camp equipment needed etc.

Language, registration and participation fee

Language: The primary language at the jamboree will be Swedish but relevant practical information and activity instructions will be available also in English. Almost all Swedish people above 13 speak English so there will always be someone to ask if needed. Your host scout group will also be able to help you with any information or communication needed.

Registration and participation fee: Registration of scout groups and participants will most likely open during late autumn 2025 and close in January 2026. The participation fee will be determined and communicated well in advance of registration opening. As a reference, our national jamboree in 2022 had a fee of 2950 SEK for scouts and 2700 SEK for leaders.

Food and tourist info

Food and culture: With a lot of experience in hosting international scouts, not least at the World Scout Jamboree 2011, we are well aware of the different cultural needs and expectations regarding food, daily routines and religious customs. We know that the best way to handle any cultural differences is with curiosity and dialogue and we choose to see them as a possibility to learn, not as a problem.

Tourist info: If you want to extend your adventure and stay a bit longer in the region, our partners at Region Skåne are happy to help you with recommendations and information. Please have a look at www.visitskane.com.
